Favorite Quote: We eat when we’re hungry, drink when we’re dry, if work doesn’t kill you, we live till we die.

Do you have an Office Nickname: Pete Dondlinger calls me bulldog. I think it’s because I aggressively pursue venders that owe us money.

 

What is your role at Auto Truck?

My job is taking care of our customers after the sale is complete. I monitor the quality of the product we build and manage all warranties.

How did you first learn about Auto Truck?

I worked for school district 11 as a Bus Mechanic and the district was a customer of Auto Truck’s, formerly Layton Truck. We stopped by to check the progress of a vehicle Layton Truck was building for us and I thought the work was interesting, so I applied for a job.

What do you like most about Auto Truck?

The people. Everyone is friendly and great to work with.

What advice would you give prospective employees?

Stay motivated. If you do, you will have a successful career at Auto Truck Group.

What do you find the most challenging at Auto Truck?

My biggest challenge is understanding all the equipment we install.

What has been your favorite project you worked on?

Can’t say any one particular project, all warranty have their own unique endings. I do all I can for the customer so that they are satisfied.

Before Auto Truck, what was your most interesting job?

I was in the US Army for 20 years.

What do you like to do on your days off?

Playing pool and golfing are two of my favorite pastimes. I also love music and going to concerts.

What would you say are the top three highlights of your life?

  • Meeting my wife back in 1978
  • I saved the life of my best friend who was drowning in a swimming pool back in 1973
  • I survived 20 years in the Army

Is there anything about you that people would be surprised by?

Most people would be surprised to know that I was the 7th US Army Training Command, 150 LB., Arm Wrestling Champion two years in a row, 1984-1985 Vilseck Germany.

If you could be anyone, who would you be?

Joe Bonamassa or Terry Bozzio. If you don’t know them look them up!

What is your favorite childhood memory?

One of my favorite memories was being in the crown of the Statue of Liberty looking out the window back in 1964.

What did you always want to try and never did?

One thing I’ve never done, but would like to try, is hang gliding.

Where would you like to travel to?

I would love to visit Machu Picchu, Peru.
