What is your role at Auto Truck?

My roll at Auto Truck is to maintain and service railroad trucks on the field.

How did you first learn of Auto Truck?

I first learned of Auto Truck when I was lost while driving a tow truck. I saw the Auto Truck office in Bensenville and asked if I could use their phone (not everybody had cell phones at the time or GPS). Maureen D. greeted me and allowed me to use the phone. After I was done, she asked me if I knew any mechanics that were interested in working second shift. I said I was. I filled out an application and was hired.

What do you like most about Auto Truck?

The thing that I like most about Auto Truck is seeing my work on the road and the friends that I’ve made.

What advice would you give prospective employees?

I would tell prospective employees to PAY ATTENTION, LISTEN AND ASK QUESTIONS!!!

What do you find the most challenging at Auto Truck?

The thing I find most challenging about being a Field Service Tech at Auto Truck is being outside in the field by myself and trying to do a job when sometimes you need an extra set of hands. But that’s when your MacGyver instinct kicks in. LOL.

What has been your favorite project you worked on?

My favorite thing that I have worked on with Auto Truck was THE GREEN TEAM “METRA PROJECT.” The last day, some of us put in a 24+ hour shift. That was Auto Truck team work; or should I say GREEN TEAM team work.

Before Auto Truck, what was your most interesting job?

Before Auto Truck, my two most interesting jobs were a school bus driver and an intern at Illinois Bell.

What do you like to do on your days off?

On my days off of work I like to spend time with my wife.

What are your major job functions?

My major job functions are to maintain good customer service, troubleshoot and fix hydraulic and electrical issues and perform crane and hy-rail inspection.
