Recently, we had a long time Auto Truck customer request to store trucks for training purposes at our KC location. Our employee Andrea Heskin opened up our facility and another employee Dennis Gregory was to lock it up that night. The plan was to store trucks on our lot, and then have a shuttle take everyone back to the KC airport. Well, the shuttle on Sunday morning never showed up, so our employee Dennis Gregory and his wife Tiff loaded up the guys in their own vehicles and began shuttling them back to the airport that morning. Opening up the lot so our customer could store trucks, then shuttling them to the airport on an early Sunday morning is doing what it takes to serve our customers. Thank you Andrea, Dennis and Tiff.
We are in full construction of our new Ford Transit van and F150 truck equipment facility in Kansas City, MO. Located just a few blocks away from the Ford shipping facility, the new KC location will have acres of parking and storage. We are anticipating a mid-May move-in date. This will coincide perfectly with the startup of the Transit production at the Ford Claycomo plant.
We are also very excited to have formed a strategic relationship with the Weather Guard / Wernerco organization to provide van equipment and accessories to our Auto Truck- Kansas City facility for the Transit model line-up. Auto Truck has enjoyed a multi-decade partnership with the Weather Guard organization. We can’t wait to start building vans!
It was good to see everyone at the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indy. We had two booths and enjoyed visiting with old and new friends. We will be at NAFA in Minneapolis the middle of April. We will have a booth there as well, so please stop in and see us.
Other shows the Auto Truck Group Sales Team will be working include the Ford Fleet Preview in Las Vegas, the GM Fleet Preview in Orlando. and the Chrysler Fleet Preview in Ashville, NC. We will have trucks and equipment at all of these shows, so please stop by!
In January we introduced our Auto Truck Group of Service, Platform, Ranch and Tow bodies. These Auto Truck engineered bodies have been very well received. We will be introducing other bodies and equipment in Auto Truck model line up soon. Stay tuned.
If you have not heard, we have opened a new truck equipment facility in Maple Shade, NJ. This facility will operate for the truck equipment needs of our east coast customers. Our plan is to be in full production in the next couple months. One market strategy for sure, will be servicing our customers in that region with van related products and installation. This will be a big advantage to van fleets in the area. Please call us for quote requests and questions regarding this new facility.
