Ship Through
Ship-Through is a service offered by the motor vehicle manufacturers for the transportation of a vehicle from the producing plant, through to almost every Auto Truck Group facility and back into the motor company's transportation system. There is usually a handling fee added to the motor company's invoice to cover coordinating, shipping and paperwork.
Ship-Through is primarily used by companies who have large fleets of vehicles, or whose fleet is spread out over a large area or both. By taking advantage of the ship-through process, these fleets are able to control quality, consistency and cost.
