Ship Through is a service offered by the motor vehicle manufacturers for the transportation of a vehicle from the producing plant, through to almost every Auto Truck Group facility and back into the motor company's transportation system. There is usually a handling fee added to the motor company's invoice to cover coordinating, shipping and paperwork.

Ship Through is primarily used by companies who have large fleets of vehicles, or whose fleet is spread out over a large area or both. By taking advantage of the ship through process, these fleets are able to control quality, consistency and cost.
